South Central Indiana REMC (SCI REMC) is a not-for-profit electric distribution, member-owned cooperative. The cooperative is a leader in distribution technology and is headquartered in a new and progressive facility in Martinsville, Indiana. SCI REMC serves seven counties including Morgan, Monroe, Owen, Brown, Johnson, Putnam and Clay with over 3,542 miles of energized lines and 33,549 meters serving 28,007 members. SCI REMC is also starting up a fiber division that will offer broadband services to its members’ homes and businesses.

EDUCATION: A four-year engineering degree, or equivalent is required. An electric or computer degree or similar is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: One year of configuring and commissioning SCADA control systems with hands-on accountability. Distribution coop utility experience preferred.
A. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects.
B. Must be familiar with SCADA design for electrical power substations.
C. Knowledge of digital microwave systems, fiber optic systems, VHF/UHF voice dispatch systems is preferred.
D. Knowledge of Federal Communications Commission rules and regulations is preferred.
E. Must have strong analytical and technological skills:
F. Must be able to provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to company personnel in the procedures and practices of communications and SCADA design and construction.
G. Must prepare and vet contracts for the installation and maintenance of field communications systems and equipment.
H. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with management, employees, members, and others.
I. Must be available to supervise or assist in dispatch during emergencies.
